Gold Nanorods

Gold nanorods are rod-shaped gold nanoparticles with rich chemical and physical properties. There are corresponding applications in sensors and optical components In biomedical applications for in vitro diagnostics and in vivo therapy.

The surface plasmon resonance wavelength of gold nanorods can vary with the aspect ratio, continuously adjustable from visible (550 nm) to near-infrared (1550 nm), and extremely high surface electric field strength enhancement effect (up to 10e7 times).
