General Information
Background:
Hygromycin-B-phosphotrans ferase (hpf) and neomycin phosphotransferase (neomycin phosphotransferase) I (npt) and neomycin phosphotransferase (npt lⅡ) are the most common marker genes encoding antibiotic resistance genes. It is currently widely used in transgenic plants, especially in cereals such as rice and corn.Hygromycin B (hygromycin B., for short, hyg), like kanamycin, is an aminoglycoside antibiotic. It is derived from streptococcus (Streptomyceshy groscopi-cus) Linda cloned the hpt gene from E. coli, transformed into E. coli and yeast, and obtained the hygromycin resistance transformants.
